Guide to EEK dash clusters, swaps, etc

The 1981-1989 Dodge Aries K, 1981-1989 Plymouth Reliant K

These cars typically got few options when compared to say, a Chrysler Laser, Chrysler 5th Ave (FWD AC/AY) or an Imperial, as they were very entry level economy cars. EVIC's, traveler's, auto dim mirrors, EVA's- just did not find their way into these cars. The dash, as far as I know, stayed almost the same for these two cars for the entire time they were in production. No digital dash was ever offered. The K-bodies never had a BCM and always used a speedo cable.

Basically there was an early analog cluster and a later analog cluster. The early one was very box-shaped in the way the gauges were displayed, the later design made more use of curves.

The old cluster: 1981-1983
