Adding Digital Overhead Consoles
You have two options, EVIC (electronic vehical information center) or the basic digital compas & temperature console.
EVIC is the only one which was offered on the AC/AYs from the factory.
EVIC essentially gives you varrious engine alerts (such as low coolant), mpg calculations, miles of fuel left in fuel tank, compas, temperature outside etc. To install EVIC you need the varrious EVIC sensors, the engine node (1988-1989 models only), the EVIC, and then wire the BCM up correctly.
Its a hell of alot of work for what its worth- enough so that I didn't even attempt this one. You *MUST* use an EVIC for your model year (i.e. 1992 in a 1992 etc) or it will not work. It is CCD bus dependant as well.
The other overhead on the other hand, is a kindler, gentler installation. Basically the AA body LeBaron and some minivans/suv's got a simple digital overhead console that did compas and outside temperature readings. The compas is built in and the temp sensor goes on the front of the radiator support.
To install this on the Dynasty you will have to fabricate your own mounting bracket since the AC/AY roof is a different shape from the models which got this console OEM.
Once you get that done, you will have to wire up the connections for the console.
You will also need the "sun visor hooks" used by the AA body's.

I love this mod, it is on my Dynasty and it has worked great for me. However it can be a PITA to send wires up to that part of the car and you will have to cut up your headliner so tread carefully ;)
