Suspension

The stock suspensions are alright on the Dynasty, though some improvement here and there are worth while.

Strut tower braces from early Neons can be made to fit, and require only a couple new holes to work. They can be found for around $25-100 depending on where and how you get them (eBay is cheaper then a store, etc.). Some claim adjustable strut braces aren't as good as solid ones.

Airbag suspension upgrades for the rear shocks, or air shocks are worth having, if you have the cash for them. JC Whitney sells a kit for them for the Dynasty for around $80 for the airshocks, $100 for the on-board air compressor/controler. The advantage to these systems is that it allows you to control the hieght of the rear of the car while driving around. This means that you can adjust the air inside the air shocks for when hauling more wieght in the rear, or for when you are at a strieght track- like a 1/4 mile, and want a better take off. It is also possible to get air shocks for the rear for even more hieght. These are about the same price as air bags, can give a tad more lift, but don't fit perfectly and my cause your ride to become "bumpy" and not as smooth!

Jacking up the rear (within reason) on a FWD does in fact help during take off. Basically the jacked up rear moves the center of gravity more to the front drive-tires, which generates more traction, and makes it seem like the rear has less mass. But as to rather or not $170 (US) is the right price for being able to do this, is up to you.

'course keep in mind that the higher the rear is from the front in a FWD car will reduce how well the car handles!

The front struts are alright, but generally don't last much more then 120,000 miles. Keeping good struts up front is almost always a good idea.
