New Yorker without the vynal roof?
Yes there was such a thing. Chrysler didn't lie in their literature when they mentioned that the vynil roof was optional on all the AC/AY's. The NYer and Imperial rarely lacked this option, but it did happen. My guess is that it's because they figured some people wouldn't want the roof. If you didn't want the roof, you'd normally have to get a Dynasty- but if you liked the looks of one of the Chrysler AC/AY's better.. then this gives you more options.
This model is from 1992 or 1993 judging from the body style which has more curves then the older box-like models.

I can't quite make out the lettering by the rear door. I suspect it
says New Yorker, but I am not certain.

Yes, that's right, the dash says 91,000 miles. The car looks it too.
No real ware and tare anywhere.

Even the engine bay looks perfect!
