Clicking No-Start

Every so often I go to start my car, and it will not start- yet I get a "clicking noise".

This is basically when you're trying to start, and the battery has some voltage and the starter relay and solenoid are operating, but not the starter motor.

It ends up that (especially on the 3.3/3.8) the starter is VERY power hungry, and if your battery is weak (low voltage or amperage) than it can not drive the starter motor. Thus clicking, but not starting.

A jump start, battery charger or new battery can help end this.

Batteries are usually the problem, and thankfully not that expensive (compared to, say, a starter motor).

Before anything else, make sure your battery connectors are #1) not dirty and #2) on real tight.
