Rough idle
The 3.0 and 3.3 owners can have a rough idle when not enough air is getting to the engine. This is most often due to either dirty airfilters, or dirty TB's (throttle bodies). If that doesn't cure the problem, then often the AIS needs to be slightly adjusted.
The AIS is basically an electric motor/valve which controls how open the TB is during idle to allow for the engine to continue to run. The AIS basically allows air into the engine by controling a small valve.
To clean the TB, the best thing to do is remove the throttle body and spry it good with throttle body cleaner. Do NOT use carb cleaner- as I hear that makes the idle even worse. Just follow the directions on the TB cleaner and it should work quick and easy.
If your TB cleaner requires removing the TB, it maybe worth while to (ahead of removal) go and get a replacement throttle body gasket (since usually they can not be reused after TB removal).
